If you’ve listened to Metallica for a long time, then you already know Rob’s been on the music scene for quite a while now. He was in Ozzy’s band, he’s been in Suicidal Tendencies and one of my other favorites Infectious Grooves.

I don’t know what it was when I sat down and watched Live From Budokan but I told my friend that Rob would be a great bassist for Metallica and that they should and probably would audition him for the part – despite it being MONTHS before them announcing it in 2003.
